CAPTCHAs cannot have a text alternative — that would prevent the test from doing its job. Audio CAPTCHAs are not an effective alternative. Audio CAPTCHAs cannot have alt-text either, and some users have both vision and hearing disabilities. Visual CAPTCHAS create frustrations for all users.
