What is animated data visualization?
In an animated visualization, you are asking the reader to follow the progression of information as it moves from one frame to another. There are different ways to do this, from narrative stories to videos to a series of images in static form, but all require users to track information and hold it in their memories.
Why we should use animation in data visualization?
Given that the entire field of data visualisation is dedicated to presenting information in a visual way that allows us to quickly and efficiently process it, animation provides a powerful tool to 'tap into' our sensitivity to identification of moving objects.
Can you animate in tableau?
When you create a new workbook, Tableau enables animations for your viz by default. You can turn animations on or off at the user and workbook level.
What are the four types of data visualizations?
The main types of data visualization include charts, graphs and maps in the form of line charts, bar graphs, tree charts, dual-axis charts, mind maps, funnel charts and heatmaps.
