Where does Azure synapse stores data?
Azure Synapse uses Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 as a data warehouse and a consistent data model that incorporates administration, monitoring and metadata management sections.
What is ADF metadata?
You can use the Get Metadata activity to retrieve the metadata of any data in Azure Data Factory or a Synapse pipeline. You can use the output from the Get Metadata activity in conditional expressions to perform validation, or consume the metadata in subsequent activities.
How does synapse analytics store data?
Synapse stores data in a columnar format and enables distributed querying capabilities, which is better suited for the performance of OLAP workloads. SQL Pools have built-in support for data streaming, as well as few AI functions out-of-box.
