What is the difference between dialog and modal?
Dialog (dialogue): A conversation between two people. In a user interface, a dialog is a “conversation” between the system and the user. Mode: A special state of the system in which the same system has somewhat different user interfaces.
When a modal box appears what should the user do?
The purpose of modals can be summed up in one word: focus. If you need visitors to focus on something simple, a modal window is one of the most effective means to do so. Users must either close the modal, or complete a specific action within it (e.g., reading a message and clicking “OK”, filling out a form, etc.).
What is a modal element?
The Modal Element is a very vesatile Element, which can be used to display additional content via a popup window on a page. Modal boxes are hidden by default and can be triggered by a Menu item, a button element or a modal text / HTML link element, which can be either text or an image.
