Choose beta testers from people who use your product a lot
These are the users who are signed up, but use the product very little… …if at all. Even if they're willing to beta test a new feature, their feedback isn't exactly the most constructive you can get.
How many beta users should I have?
The number of beta testers depends on the size of your project. If it's a small project with a team size of about 20, you can perform beta tests with 10-15 testers. However, if your project size is enterprise-level, with a team size of over 1000, you'll need over 500 beta testers.

Often people sign up to beta test because they'd like to learn more about a specific product or technology. In the consumer space this is often simply a personal interest, while in the business space it may expand to career building.
