Right-click the My Chat title bar, point to Dock to, and then click Left, Right, Top, or Bottom.

This behavior is by design and there is no option available to change this. In a group chat, messages from all other participants are left aligned, while your own messages are right aligned. The same is the case with 1:1 chat. Messages from the conversation partner are left aligned, while yours are right aligned.
