How do I enable checkboxes in Word?
On the Home tab, choose the down-arrow next to the Bullets list to open the bullet library, and then choose the checkbox symbol.
Why are check boxes not working in Word?
You need to have the document locked (protected for filling in forms) for the checkbox to work properly. The shading is because of your Word preferences for shading of fields. You have it set to shade fields when selected or always. If you never want it shaded, you need to change that preference to Never.
Why are controls in Developer tab greyed out?
One of the reasons for Insert button under Excel Developer tab is grayed out or disabled is because there must be multiple sheets selected in your workbook.
How do I change content control in Outlook?
On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, click Design Mode. Click the content control where you want to revise the placeholder instructional text. Edit the placeholder text and format it any way you want.
