Is it okay to copy a color palette?
Color schemes are totally ok to use. As a designer, I do that quite frequently; if I see a scheme that works great together, I may snapshot it and save it. It isn't necessarily looked-down upon.
What is a DIAD color scheme?
Diadic (Diad): Colors do not always conform to a structured relationship. A diadic color scheme uses two colors that are separated by one color on the color wheel. Similar to a square color scheme by equally skipping colors, the diadic color scheme is closer to analogous, minus the color in between.

Use warm colors & blue
That's because these warm colors and blue are super versatile for categories. Yellow and orange and red look very pleasing together, but people will still perceive them as different: ⬤⬤⬤ — which is exactly what we want for categorical colors. And blue is more flexible than any other hue.
