What is content grouping?
Content Grouping lets you group content into a logical structure that reflects how you think about your site or app, and then view and compare aggregated metrics by group name in addition to being able to drill down to the individual URL, page title, or screen name.
What are the main differences between content groupings and custom dimensions?
With Content Grouping, you can see how they navigate from one group of pages to another. This is not possible with Custom Dimensions. Easier setup – In most cases, it's easier to set up Content Groupings than Custom Dimensions. The latter requires additional code on your site (unless you're using Google Tag Manager).
How do I set up content grouping in GA4?
In Tags, open your Google Analytics: GA4 Configuration tag. In the Fields to Set section, add a row with the content group and variable. In the Field Name field, enter "content_group". In the Value field, enter Content Group.
