What is UI navigation?

The navigation of a website or product is provided by a group of user interface controls intended to enable users to form a mental model of the structures we design, and then move through them smoothly and reliably. This group of controls is the user interface layer on top of the Information Architecture.

What is lateral navigation in UX?

Lateral navigation refers to movement between screens at the same level of hierarchy. It enables access to different app destinations and features, or pivoting between related items in a set.

What is navigation pattern?

Navigation design is a design process that utilizes hyperlinks to organize information on a website so that site visitors can navigate, or find, the information they are looking for. Navigation can be text-based or image-based. Take our bird website, for example.
