Should you disable button UX?
While designing the UI, avoid using a disabled button as it becomes hard to find out why it is disabled and what should be done to make it enable. It is better to keep buttons enabled all the time and highlight the field if users don't provide the required information.
When should you not use a dropdown?
In General, Avoid Drop-Downs When There Are More Than 10 or Fewer Than 5 Options. Drop-downs quickly become difficult for users when they are presented with an overwhelming number of options to choose from. Take, for instance, a commonly included input in checkout forms, the “Country Selection” drop-down.
Why you shouldn t include disabled interaction elements in your design system?
Disabled options only communicate implicitly. At best they are ambiguous; at worst, impenetrable. If you show an element but don't allow people to interact with it, they then have to interpret why they can't.
What is dropdown in UX?
A dropdown menu is a design pattern letting you display a list of contents, navigation points, and functions without flooding the user with many options simultaneously.
