What does a spider graph show?

A spider diagram organizes and displays data in a logical, visual way. Spider diagram features include the main concept positioned in the middle of the diagram, with lines extending radially to link related ideas and sub-topics. More ideas branch out from there, and you end up with a diagram resembling a spider.

How do you Analyse a spider graph?

See how they kind of look like spokes coming out of the hub of a wheel? In a spider chart, each dimension gets its own spoke, and the spokes are evenly distributed around the wheel. The farther towards the end of the spike, the larger the value. Closest to the center means closer to zero.

When should you not use a radar chart?

It is best not to attempt to plot more than 3 sets of a group in a radar chart. Too many polygons can make the chart messy and confusing to read. When too many variables or feature are there, too many axes are present. This crowds up the chart and makes it unreadable.

What are the disadvantages of radar graphs?

Radar Charts Can Cause Occlusion and Confusion

If there are too many variables or too many data series, the chart can become confusing. This problem is compounded if multiple data series are plotted on one chart, and data points can become occluded.
