Input fields give users a way to enter information and submit it within your user interface. For e-commerce sites, input fields are an essential element of the checkout UX. But you'd be surprised at how many things can go wrong with input fields and how much of a UX impact those issues can have.
How big should text fields be?
A rule of thumb is 45–57px for a touch target, but for mobile that often result in fields which look obnoxiously large. Sizing input fields between 32px and 40px in height makes your field finger-friendly and not very large at the same time.
