Launch application really means only one thing, to start a program.
What is the difference between launching and opening?
I want to know the difference between "Launch Website" and "Open Browser" commands. Launch Website command will launch the web page on default web browser. Open Browser command opens a window in IE to a specified URL.
What happens when you open an app?
Simply put, an app is a type of software that allows you to perform specific tasks. Applications for desktop or laptop computers are sometimes called desktop applications, while those for mobile devices are called mobile apps. When you open an application, it runs inside the operating system until you close it.
