Are vertical tabs better?
Stacking the tabs vertically has another UI benefit, which is that it frees up a bit more vertical space in the viewing area of your browser. I tend to use a smallish laptop — I prefer a 13 inch screen — and this means there isn't a lot of up-and-down real-estate on the screen.
