What are sovereign applications?
A sovereign application is a program that monopolizes the user's attention for long periods of time. Cooper defined transient applications thus: 'A transient posture program comes and goes, presenting a single, high-relief function with a tightly restricted set of accompanying controls.
What is posture in design?
This term is used to identify a behavioural stance that helps to define the context of user interaction with a product, both as a whole or through individual features. Before we start, I would like to note that postures are not meant to be used as a standalone concept.
