How to add Google Maps Nearby traffic widget to your Android phone's home screen. Long-press on an empty area of your phone's home screen and select Widgets. Scroll down and expand the list of widgets for Google Maps. Select the Nearby traffic widget and drop it in the desired spot on your home screen.
