How often should you AutoSave?

How often should I AutoSave my work? The frequency with which you AutoSave is up to you, but we recommend saving every 5-10 minutes. If you're working on a large or complex workbook, or if you have limited access to power or other resources, consider saving more frequently.

Why is a Save button important?

Save buttons are common because of the common pattern learned by the users for decades. Load data or files from a persistent storage into main memory. Modify the data in main memory. Save the modified data back to a persistent storage.

Is auto save good?

The system is saving for the user, so they don't risk losing work. This is the biggest positive for autosave in most people's minds. How many times have you been working away on something, then your laptop runs out of battery, you lose wifi signal, the power flickers, or some other outside event crashes your program?

Should primary button be on left or right?

Full page designs should have the primary button on the left side of the page. If the browser window is large, or you have to scroll down to fill out a form, it's best to have the primary button right below the last bit of content on the page.
