What is timeout in payment?

It means that someone in the payment chain didn't reply in time; it could've been us, your bank or the payment processor. Trying such a transaction again usually solves the problem and the payment should go through.

When a read timeout occurs, one or more attempts to reverse (or 'void') the authorization that timed out is made. When a transaction is submitted, and timeout occurs, it is assumed that the problem is temporary. In some cases up to three reversal attempts are made, each 40 seconds apart.
