Does E-transfer not work at night?
Interac e-Transfers® can be done anytime, day or night, weekends or holidays. Recipients are notified by email usually within 30 minutes after an e-Transfer is sent, and funds are immediately available to be deposited into their account.
What happens if an e-transfer doesnt go through?
If the recipient declines the Interac e-Transfer, the sender will receive an email and/or text notification that the Interac e-Transfer was declined. The funds should be deposited back into the sender's account automatically.
How long do e transfers stay active?
How long does the recipient have to accept an Interac® e-Transfer? The recipient has 30 days to accept an Interac® e-Transfer. Once the Interac® e-Transfer expires, the sender receives an email indicating the transfer has expired and a link to re-deposit the funds into their account.
Does E-transfer work outside Canada?
Can I send money by email to someone outside of Canada? Money sent by email must be in Canadian dollars and it must be deposited into a Canadian account. You cannot send money by email to someone who does not have a Canadian account and online banking access at their financial institution.
