In order to create a filter, go to Issues > Search for Issues to define your search. Make sure to execute it to confirm that the syntax is correct. Finally, click Save as and choose a name for your new filter. That's all there is to it!
How do I Create a dashboard filter?
To create a dashboard filter:
Click Filter Your Dashboard in the dashboard's right panel (if it's your first filter), or + if you are adding another filter. The Add Filter dialog box is displayed. (Optional) If you have multiple data sources, select the data source that contains the fields you want to filter.
How do I provide filters in Jira?
Click Share, and then add the user or group you want to share the filter with. You can also share searches without saving them as a filter first. In that case, JIRA won't automatically save the filter for you or your recipients, but everyone will have the opportunity to save it as a filter when viewing the results.
