Personas are fictional profiles representing a group of people, such as users, potential customers or employees – as well as their mindsets, their needs and behavior patterns. After defining the characteristics of your persona(s), you can use them in your daily work.

Can persona be created from a bunch of user profiles?
When creating personas you should include analysis of the user profiles, including identification of important clusters of users within or between user profiles. Think of profiles as stage 1 and personas as stage 2.
