How do I change the look of Google Search results?
Disable Google branding:
On the Custom Search home page, click the search engine you want. Click Look and feel, find the style you want to use. If you want to update the style you're currently using, click Reset style; otherwise, click Customize under the style you want. Select the Google branding option.
How do I get Google to show most recent results?
Click Search features from the left menu and open the Advanced tab. Click on Results sorting. By default, sorting by Relevance and Date will already be available. If that's all you need, just click the slider to make sure Results sorting is On.
How do I filter Google Search results by date?
Using a Time Frame
Sometimes you may want to only find information published during a specific time frame. To limit Google results by date, click on Tools, then click on Any Time and choose the filter or Custom Date Range that interests you.
Why Google Search results look different?
There are many reasons for this, but essentially Google makes decisions about what result type works best for a given query, user, time, place, and many other factors. Sometimes we decide that a specific rich result isn't the best result for that query.
