What is the icon that represents sort ascending?

One of the following single sort icons are displayed: the ascending sort selector (∧) icon, the descending sort selector (∨) icon, or the remove sort (X) icon. Click the single sort icon to toggle between the three options.

Does up arrow mean ascending or descending?

An arrow pointing up means that column is sorted in ascending order. An arrow pointing down means that column is sorted in descending order. To change the sort order, simply click on the column header. When you are ready to sort, click Sort.

Is ascending Z to A or A to Z?

Ascending means going up, so an ascending sort will arrange numbers from smallest to largest and text from A to Z. Descending means going down, or largest to smallest for numbers and Z to A for text.
