How do you fix a chipped card not reading?
If enough dirt or debris gets between your card's strip or chip, the card reader may not be able to process the transaction. Luckily, this is the easiest one to remedy – you can wipe the card down with a clean cloth, or even use adhesive tape to pull off offending particles.
Why does it say there was a problem processing your credit card?
Credit card processing issues are primarily caused by three problems: insufficient funds, technical issues such as outages, or suspected credit card fraud.
Why are credit card readers not working?
Make sure the Lightning or Audio connector on the Card Reader is clean. Sometimes if this is dirty, it cannot be detected by the device. Check the Lightning or Audio input on the device to make sure it is clean and free of debris or moisture.
