How do you use an access card in an elevator?
Elevator card readers
Another commonly used system is elevator RFID access control, which involves swiping or scanning a key card or fob at the RFID card reader inside the elevator cab. After scanning their credentials, tenants can then press the elevator buttons to go to their intended floor.
How do you swipe a hotel card?
The key card door lock is triggered once the magnetic strip is read and verified by the hotel door card reader. As a general rule, the access process is completed by swiping the card through the magnetic reader.
Do you have to turn in hotel key cards?

How do elevator control systems work?
