Is it a bad idea to use grey buttons?

Using grey buttons is not a bad idea! Grey buttons show the user that items are secondary actions compared to the primary action (which is orange). If you add another color say blue into the mix it may confuse the user as to which button is the primary action.

Is it OK to grey out disabled buttons?

For a smooth and seamless experience, it's best to avoid graying out your disabled buttons. Instead, you should decrease the opacity to make it transparent.

Why you shouldn't use disabled buttons?

Bad accessibility

Sometimes disabled buttons are designed in a way that they cannot be read by a screen reader (buttons are not focusable, and hence users can't reach them with a keyboard). No need to explain that users with disabilities will face problems with such behavior.

What color should cancel buttons be?

The Cancel button should have a neutral color to signify the neutral, non-committal button. When users see that the Cancel button has no color, they'll recognize it as the fallback to safety easier. It's critical for users who need to escape a confirmation screen to notice this.

Should we use disabled buttons?

While designing the UI, avoid using a disabled button as it becomes hard to find out why it is disabled and what should be done to make it enable. It is better to keep buttons enabled all the time and highlight the field if users don't provide the required information.
