Can I use Material Design for website?
Material Design has also been adopted by the wider design community and can now be found on websites and apps far outside of Google's native platforms (and even on competing platforms). Simplenote, for example, uses a Material Design aesthetic across its apps for desktop and mobile platforms.
Is Material Design outdated?
Material design is still growing, updating, and changing – just last year, Google made their language easier for designers to customise.

Material Design 3 is the technical name of Material You, which was unveiled in early 2021 through a Pixel 6 ad, and it's a revolution for Android developers and designers.

Google Apps on iOS Will Move Away From Material Design and Adopt Apple's UIKit for a Consistent User Experience. Google's suite of apps on iOS and iPadOS includes Google Maps, Gmail. Google Photos, YouTube, and Good Drive. All of these apps have used Google's custom interfaces that look like Android apps.
