What is scaling in web development?
The simplest definition of 'scalability' is the potential of your application to cope with increasing numbers of users simultaneously interacting with it. Ultimately, you want it to grow and be able to handle more and more requests per minute (RPMs).
What is designing at scale?
Designing for scale means thinking beyond the pilot and making choices that will enable widespread adoption later, as well as determining what will be affordable and usable by a whole country or region, rather than by a few pilot communities.
