Why do phones have vibration alert?
Vibrating alerts are primarily used when a user cannot hear the ring tone (a noisy environment or through hearing loss) or wants a more discreet notification (such as in a theatre). However, when the device is placed on a hard surface, it can often be as loud or louder than a ring tone.
Why does my phone not vibrate for notifications?
Under Interaction Controls, tap on Vibration & haptic strength. Ensure that your preferred vibration settings are enabled. Note: If you're using an app that carries its own vibration setting (such as Gboard), you'll also need to enable vibration from there.
