What are magic links?

Magic links are a type of passwordless login that allow users to log into an account by clicking a link that's emailed to them, rather than typing in their username and password.

Is Magic Link better than password?

While magic links might still be considered a safer authentication method than using plain passwords, they ultimately seem to pose more security risks than other passwordless options.

How long should magic links last?

You can for example allow the user to enter your app with traditional username and password if you like, and then send them a Magic Link (or device biometrics auth) just before they attempt a trade. ii) Magic Links need to be single-use only. iii) Magic Link duration needs to be short (typically expires < 15 minutes).
