Why do tasks turn red in MS Project?
The Warning field indicates whether Microsoft Project has identified a potential scheduling conflict with a manually scheduled task's start date, finish date, or duration, for example, a problem with a task link or a date constraint. The information with the potential problem is underlined in red.
What if the task appears red in Outlook?
Tasks will also include a symbol to indicate its status. Red symbols denote overdue Tasks and triangles denote Tasks with a deadline. Depending on your user settings, Tasks that are marked as complete will either be checked off and moved to the Completed category, or will no longer be displayed.
