Mercedes unlock only driver door

Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote control for three seconds to change between driver door or all doors unlock mode. The direction indicators will flash twice to indicate a change to the unlocking mode. Driver door mode only unlocks the driver door when you press the unlock button once.

Why does my key fob only unlock the driver door?

For safety/security reasons, the single button push opens only the drivers door. This is to avoid the chance that someone hiding on the opposite side of the car could hop in simultaneous with you. The 2nd push of the same button is to unlock the other doors, and the external trunk/hatch lock as well.
