What is the default Office 365 password policy?

By default, a password will expire in 90 days. If you want to change the duration, navigate to Microsoft 365 > Admin center > Settings > Security & privacy > Password policy, click Edit, and then modify the number in the Days before passwords expire field.

How to notify Office 365 users that passwords will expire?

Sign in to your Office 365 account and go to the admin center. Under Service settings, select Passwords. Enter the number of days before the password should expire (between 14 and 730). Enter the number of days before users are notified that their password will expire (between 1 and 30).
