A line chart (aka line plot, line graph) uses points connected by line segments from left to right to demonstrate changes in value. The horizontal axis depicts a continuous progression, often that of time, while the vertical axis reports values for a metric of interest across that progression.
What are intervals in a chart?
The space between each value on the scale of a bar graph is called an interval. In other words, the interval is the relation between the units you're using, and their representation on the graph, or the distance between marks. You choose intervals based on the range of the values in the data set.
How do I set intervals in Excel chart?
To change the interval between axis labels, expand Labels, and then under Interval between labels, select Specify interval unit and type the number you want in the text box.
