What is offer answer model?
The Session Description Protocol's (SDP) Offer/Answer Model is used by two entities to reach agreement on session description, such as which media streams are in the session, the codecs, etc. The offerer indicates the desired session description in the offer.
What is SDP offer answer model?
Answer: An SDP message sent by an answerer in response to an offer received from an offerer. Answerer: An agent which receives a session description from another agent describing aspects of desired media communication, and then responds to that with its own session description.
Which SIP message is used for called party answer?
The default message body type in SIP is application/sdp. The calling party lists the media capabilities that they are willing to receive in SDP, usually in either an INVITE or in an ACK. The called party lists their media capabilities in the 200 OK response to the INVITE.
