How can you tell a good quality charger?
Most chargers are rated at 1 amp per hour (1000 mAh). A higher ampere per hour rating on the charger shouldn't hurt anything unless it exceeds the battery's maximum limit which varies greatly per battery and manufacturer and is usually quite high. Usually, higher is better.
How does USB-C know which device to charge?
The USB Power Delivery system has a low-speed signalling protocol on the power wires by which the two ends can talk to each other, discover their voltage and current capabilities (consenting devices can go up to 20V or 5A with suitable cables) and whether they have mains power.
Does a charger get affected if I use it to charge another brand of phone?
Myth: I should save money with an off-brand charger
“The fluctuation of voltage can damage the charger port, and even damage your battery.” In a pinch, an off-brand cord probably won't do as much damage as a knockoff of the piece that plugs in to the wall or car might.
What is PD charger?
PD stands for power delivery. PD technology basically enables your device to take on more power in a shorter amount of time, which translates to superfast charging. Many of the most popular mobile devices, including iPhones and Galaxy devices, are PD-enabled.
