Column headings should be center aligned. 3 rules for a table: The main title should be centered, all caps, and bold. The horizontal arrangement of information in a table is a row. The vertical arrangement of information in a table is a column.
Should numeric values be right justified?
any number that is numeric in nature and a computation is done on it (like a total) then it should ALWAYS be right aligned ALONG WITH its heading. So other numeric number that are just numbers like units, some procedure code, date, etc should be left aligned ALONG WITH its heading.
Where should numbers be aligned in a table?
Typography. Generally, you should align text left and numbers right. This way it's easier to differentiate between the two and numbers are easier to compare.
Should Excel column headers be centered?
Numerical data is right-aligned. Textual data is left-aligned because is read from left-to-right. Headers are aligned with their data and center alignment is not recommended.
