If there is only one navigation for your app then it is better to align it to left because usually when you do your eyes automatically gives it more focus than usual.

Should NAV be on left or right?
We know from eyetracking studies that attention leans left on websites: users look at the left half of the screen 80% of the time. The real estate on the left side of the screen is valuable, and placing your navigation there makes it likely to be noticed and scanned by your users.
Why are menus on the left?
The hamburger menu icon was first introduced in the early days of the web (when we did not design for mobile screens), and it was usually placed in the top-left corner of the screen. This was because the top-left corner was the traditional location for the menu bar.
What is right alignment used for?
Right align, right alignment, or right justify is text or page formatting that aligns text along the right side of a page or containing element.
What is left navigation?
Left navigation facilitates a vertical scanning direction (yay lists), this greatly improves speed, it also requires fewer visual fixations so we can see multiple navigation links at the same time. ( Side navigation can be positioned on the right for the right to left writing systems)
