Should you have an email address on your website?
Putting an email address on your website actually takes away the security aspect Google considers when searching your website. Trolls, people who visit websites using search bots, look for exposed email addresses they can “harvest” in order to send spam, or worse, steal identities.
Why do websites need email addresses?
Email is a unique identifier and in combination with a password can be a good way for a site to verify that has to deal with a real person. The websites want to avoid spammers and bots. By using some unique identifiers as email can make it more difficult for spammers to achieve their goals.
