Why is my iPhone system data so large?
The Other/System Data category is big and varied because it's a real catch-all category. It's comprised of system caches, logs, Siri voices (if you've downloaded more than one), updates, and so much more. One of the biggest culprits for Other/System Data growing out of hand is streaming lots of music and video.
Why am I suddenly using so much data on my iPhone?
Your apps might also be updating over cellular data, which can burn through your allotment pretty quickly. Turn off automatic app updates under the iTunes and App Store settings. Your next move should be to make sure your photos only backup to iCloud when you're on Wi-Fi.
How do I find out what is draining my data on iPhone?
To see how much cellular data you've used, go to Settings > Cellular or Settings > Mobile Data. If you're using an iPad, you might see Settings > Cellular Data instead. Scroll down to find which apps are using cellular data. If you don't want an app to use cellular data, you can turn it off for that app.
