How does your phone know which way you're facing?
A typical smart phone has three magnetic field sensors, fixed perpendicular to each other, which are used to work out the local direction of Magnetic North. In addition, they have three accelerometers which sense gravity to give tilt information and to help work out which way is down.
Is a 6.7 inch phone too big?
Anything beyond 6.5-inch displays is too big for our readers. A smartphone with a display over six inches is a common occurrence these days, but there are still some OEMs offering smaller phones for those who prefer a more compact form factor.
