What are the two types of GPS signals?
Signals. Each GPS satellite transmits data on two frequencies, L1 (1575.42 Mhz) and L2 (1227.60 MHz). The atomic clocks aboard the satellite produces the fundamental L-band frequency, 10.23 Mhz.
What are navigational signals?
The term "aids to navigation" includes buoys, day beacons, lights, lightships, radio beacons, fog signals, marks and other devices used to provide "street" signs on the water.
What are signals of opportunity?
Signals-of-opportunity (SoOp) is a new technique for microwave remote sensing, re-utilizing powerful satellite transmissions as illumination sources for bistatic radar. SoOp has some beneficial characteristics of both active and passive microwave techniques, as well as its own unique features.
