How do you communicate clearly in an email?

Be concise.

Avoid excessive wordiness in emails. Be concise and to the point…but still be polite (see below). Use paragraphs to separate thoughts. Use numbering or bullets/etc. to help highlight key points or when listing things.

Who is responsible for ensuring the message is clear and concise?

Responsibility for clear and effective communication is shared by senders and receivers. On one hand, senders must do their best to communicate using clear and concise direction.
