What is a happy path software?

Happy-path testing is a type of software testing that uses known input and produces an expected output. Also referred to as golden-path or sunny-day testing, the happy-path approach is tightly scripted.

What is a sunny day scenario?

Sunny day means test all the common situations (including the possible / expected wrong situations). In a rainy day scenario will be tested the behavior of the system in exceptional situations.

What is sad path testing?

This is called sad or unhappy path testing. It involves testing different ways the user can misuse the product flow. Of course, it's not possible to know every incorrect usage, but by considering the flow in question, it's possible to come up with different ways things can go wrong in the product.

What is happy path in process mining?

To give you an example, the process graph on the left only captures the main steps in an “ideal” process (in process mining, this is called the 'Happy Path').
