How do you take notes in user research?
Good notes stick to observations (for example, something you see or hear during a session) rather than personal interpretations. Ask observers to look for: things people do - like processes, tasks, tools, problems and barriers.
How do you write a research note?
Organize your notes carefully: set up a folder for your research, save your digital files frequently and clearly label all files. Take point-form notes in your own words as much as possible: include your own thoughts and analysis about the reading. Make sure to note references and page numbers for all sources.
