What is a guerilla test?
What is guerrilla testing? Guerrilla testing (also known as hallway usability testing) is a relatively fast and informal way to test ideas, to get high-level feedback, and potentially uncover user experience problems. It can be done pretty much anywhere: a coffee shop, a shopping center, or on the street.
What are some of the limitations of conducting usability evaluations in a lab?
The disadvantages of laboratory usability testing are its cost and artificiality. Since test participants need to be examined in a unique environment using special equipment, it's far more expensive than performing a remote test in which participants carry out test actions from their homes.
What is moderated and unmoderated testing?
The primary difference between moderated and unmoderated tests is that with moderated tests you (or a moderator) have to be present to guide the contributors through the tasks. With unmoderated tests, you do not need to be present, and contributors are in their natural environment.
