What does last updated mean on a website?
Published date – original date on which the author published the article to make it available on the web. Last updated or last modified date – this is the date the article was last modified by the author. Indexed date – date on which the search engine crawler indexes the page for public display in search results.
How do you find out when a webpage was published?
If you're looking at a single page within a website, the publication or last updated date may be near the page title (toward the top of the page) or at the very bottom of the page. It will usually include a day, month and year. (When you cite a web article or specific web page, this is the date you'll need.)
