Are footnotes accessible?
Footnotes and endnotes cannot be accessed by many screen readers. Footnotes and endnotes should be deleted and the content included within in the document content.
How to do footnotes in HTML?
Find the word or phrase in your content that you want to add a footnote to. Right after it, add a footnote text enclosed with an fn tag: [fn]like this[/fn] . Footnotes supports both [fn]square brackets[/fn] and angle brackets. By default, the footnotes are placed at the bottom of the page.
Can I use links for footnotes?
Use hyperlinks to define or explain terms, for cross references in a document, and for links to external documents. Use them in preference to footnotes, including for references and citations.
