Is slider good UX?
Sliders are excellent UI controls, but they are not one-fits-all tool. They are good when users want something that is relative, but not very good for exact values. When designing a slider, measure interaction cost and make sure that the users can select that range (or single value) correctly from the first attempt.
What can use in place of slider?
Sliders or “gliding discs” look like small, flat frisbees that you use to slide across a smooth surface with your hands and feet. O'Connell recommends dish towels or socks as substitutes on a hardwood or tile floor.
What is a slider UX?
Slider is a control that allows users to select a specific value (or range of values). All too often users get the information of what the value is all about by reading the label on a slider. At the same time, it's possible to create a much better user experience by visualizing the data connected to the slider.
